Piers Jackson
Born in Jamaica in 1970, Jackson undertakes a meticulous but also passionate approach as he attempts to offer a path seemingly towards a fusion of science and faith. Cubes, spheres, stars and constellations, his totemic birds-crows, and the new geometry which began in 2000 are motifs he has repeatedly used in his work.
Jackson lives in London, UK. His work has been exhibited widely, including New Gothic, Tate Britain, 2006, Lemon Skye Projects, Miami, USA, 2006, and Port Eliot Literary Festival, 2005. His solo shows comprise of John Brown Publishing, London, 2001, and two consecutive exhibitions at St Georges Hall, London, 1998/1999. Between 1990 and 1996 Jackson worked closely together with Jade Jagger, appearing in several shows, namely at Artiste assoife W11, The Collection SW3, and Palais Royale 1 Arrondissement. Since 2006 he has been working towards his new series of works, Optica.
